Stenton Pond
Situated to the south of Glenrothes, Stenton pond is a storm pond with submerged and marginal vegetation, surrounded by amenity grassland, containing islands of planted trees and having a strip of woodland to the south.
The open water and dense scrub, combined with amenity grassland and broad-leaved plantation has led to approximately 100 species being found on this site including Wood Crane's-bill, Cowslip and Common Vetch. Common frogs and a dozen vaieties of birds have also been spotted here.
