Welcome to the new webpages for the
Fife Local Biodiversity Action Plan 2009 - 2011

The latest edition of the Fife Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) was officially launched on 1st August 2009, and will run until the end of 2011. It represents a great deal of effort from the members of the Fife Biodiversity Partnership, brought together by the Biodiversity co-ordinator.
The 3rd edition of the Fife LBAP will take a more habitat-centric approach to the conservation of biodiversity in Fife, whilst also addressing the protection and enhancement of key species.
The role of the Fife LBAP is to help inform and guide action by encouraging co-operative working between statutory, voluntary and local groups, and to actively involve local people in promoting, protecting and enhancing Fife's biodiversity.
This webpage will continue to grow and evolve over time, and will provide regular updates on progress with regards to the LBAP actions and projects.
