Gillingshill Reservoir
This site originally comprised two reservoirs. The southernmost of these was drained in 1986. This southern area of the Gillingshill LNR has now become scrub and grassland with an area of woodland separating it from the northern reservoir. This reservoir holds a variety of wintering wildfowl. The woodland, scrub and grassland provide a diversity of habitats for a large range of breeding birds. Bluebells are prolific in the woodland.
