Our Project Officers Team
The Projects Team conceives and develops project ideas across Fife’s Countryside. We work with the Rangers, Maintenance Team and other partners to bring together ideas and source funds that make the projects possible. These range from very large landscape projects to small projects at the local level.
We work in several key areas:
Strategic Partnerships and International projects.
We work with European and UK partners to plan and deliver projects that add to the quality of Fife’s countryside - providing information, visitor centres, new access routes and protecting wildlife.
Local initiatives
We continue to work on the sustainable development of the Lomond Hills Regional Park - supporting the potential of rural communities and improving visitor opportunities. This goes along with local path improvements and community action through clean-ups in Fife.
Conservation of Fife’s Wildlife
We work closely with a group of partners on the Local Biodiversity Action Plan. We try to link strategic aims with on the ground action to improve Fife’s natural heritage.
Through our work with partners and communities we are actively involved in the protection of some of Fife's key flora and fauna. This includes red squirrel, water vole and corn bunting. We are one of a number of partners on the Fife Red Squirrel Group.
