Valleyfield Wood
This wildlife site is a semi-natural broad-leaved woodland in a valley of Bluther Burn with examples of locally rare herb species. The site is regularly used for recreation and is also often used by the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust Rangers Service for educational and recreational activities.
There are several associated notable habitats including unimproved neutral grassland and Marsh. Running water and springs are also present.
Species Summary
Sweet Woodruff, Lesser Periwinkle and Moschatel have been recorded. There is also evidence of Roe Deer activity.
