Area:  Lomond Hills Regional Park

My main area of responsibility covers the upland areas of the Lomond Hill Regional Park. This includes landowner liaison, footpath maintenance and dealing with the general public using the hills for recreation. Along with this I work with many of the settlements to the Northern side of the Hills from Gateside  to Freuchie. In this role I work with schools to deliver environmental education events, advising & supporting local communities in environmental projects and working on core path network issues.

Within the hills are many designated areas, Coul Den LNR, a decommissioned Reservoir, is managed by myself for its wildlife, willow Carr and hey meadows; At Holl Meadows SSSI,  I  co-ordinate the management of the grasslands and at Craigmead Meadows SSSI,  I undertake many areas of monitoring & survey work throughout the year.

I am an active member of the Fife Amphibian Group, and my main interests lie in the conservation of Water Voles & Otters and the protection of grasslands & the regeneration of native Aspen.
